Company's Coming!

Tom, Weez, James, and Justin came to visit this past weekend! Though we didn't get as early of a start as we had intended (sometimes opening up that extra bottle of wine just isn't the best idea), anyway, we set off for Hermosa Beach Saturday morning. Vinny had a blast digging in the sand and playing ball with his big cousins. Once again, he was uncertain about the water, and I couldn't blame him-the waves were huge!
Getting ready to bury Justin (Vinny says "Jus-see").
That's about as much as he'd let Louise bury him.
James' (Vinny calls him "Jam") turn. He actually got him the closest to the water.
Whew! That was a close one!
Vinny loved throwing the ball and making the boys fetch it out of the "o-see."
After trekking to every grocery store in the San Gabriel Valley, Tom and Weez returned to the house with steaks, lobster tail, and crab legs. It was the perfect post beach feast! And, yes, that is indeed a sunburn under Vinny's eye. In an attempt to keep the sunblock out of his eye, it clearly burned. Rubbing sand all over his sticky face didn't help either. But after just a couple days, it's peeling and looking much better.
Don't let this crabby face fool you...Vinny loved seeing his Aunt Weez and when asked who's coming, his only unprompted reply was "ahn wee."
Here is a little glimpse of the lower level of our back yard. One of these days I will get pictures of the rest of the yard.
Under some protest from Tom, we headed to Hollywood for some touristy fun on Sunday. We walked along the Walk of Fame a bit, had some fun with the movie characters soliciting photos, and took a peek inside the Wax Museum and Guiness World Record Museum. Justin even got his own star on the Boulevard!
Groovy Baby!
King of the World?
This guy was the best look alike we came across. He enjoyed hamming it up just as much as Justin.
So Casa Mandrola is open for business! Who's next???
