Winter 2013/2014

Jr. K Fun
Vinny's teacher Miss Vi has the kiddos learning all about their bodies…here they are learning about the inner working of their ears.

On a field trip spreading Chrismas Cheer at "the old folks home" singing Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and Hail Mary, Gentle Woman.
Getting ready for the Holy Angels Christmas Program.  I'm not even going to try to deny it, I couldn't see through my tears clear enough to focus on taking pictures.  It was an amazing and beautiful presentation of the Nativity.

Christmas Card 2013
We headed out to the Santa Monica Pier to take some fun beach pictures at Sunset.  We barely made it there in time.  Vinny was about as cooperative as any tired and hungry 4 1/2 year old could possibly be, so the evening did not end without a meltdown…but you wouldn't know it from these shots.  It was so hard to pick "the one."

Some silly fun before the meltdown ensued…

Took some site to visit Disneyland to see the Christmas decorations.  They don't call it magical for nothing.  The lights, the snow, the fireworks, the wreaths and garlands, the giant trees, and the candy! We were truly in the spirit!

Sadly, I can not figure out how ALL of my Christmas pictures disappeared from my laptop!  From picking out the perfect tall skinny tree, to visiting Santa, to opening presents…ALL GONE!  So when I find them, I will repost, but for now, this will have to suffice…Vinny taking any opportunity to sit in a box.  I'm not sure there is a kid out there that can not resist sitting in a box.

Boppo spent Christmas with us, and shortly after, we all drove back to Arizona for New Year's.  Vinny loves to play with his big buddy EJ whenever we go back to visit Uncle Tom and Aunt Weez.

Happy New Year 2014
Meanwhile, back at the Ranch, Boomer celebrating New Year's Eve in style!

Later in the month, we wasted no time ringing in 2014 with our first trip of the year to the Beach!  Vinny's favorite things to do include chasing a beach ball into the surf and digging huge holes to jump into.  Getting buried is always fun, too!

Writing his new year's resolution in school.  In 2014, Vinny wants to be a better artist!

Run Vinny, Run!

Chariots of Fire?

Tae Kwon Do
This is a BIG DEAL!  We thought perhaps trying out a new sport would boost Vinny's confidence and toughen him up a bit.  He was all in until we walked in the studio and heard how LOUD TKD is.  Vinny cried and refused to give it a go.  But once he tried on his uniform, and sat on the mat for a while with me, Master Park lured Vinny into line to try out a few kicks and punches.  By the end of class, this is what Vinny looked like:
SO PROUD!

Valentine's Day

Vinny's class had a very special and over the top "Mad Hatter Valentine's Tea Party." Here he is with a few of his buddies, Ashton, Aiden, and Joseph…and the Mad Hatter, of course!

Pure Silliness
One more, just for fun!
